Η βασική ιδέα προέρχεται από την Iαπωνίδα ποιήτρια Sei Shonagon
(10ος αιώνας μ.Χ.) που στο ημερολόγιό της ("Το Βιβλίο του Μαξιλαριού") ομαδοποιούσε σε λίστες όσα πράγματα της άρεσαν ή την ενοχλούσαν.

Γι αυτό και το βιβλίο της είναι αφιερωμένο..
